about tregallion

I’m Daniel Sturgeon and tregallion is my blog.

I serve as a pastor at Stranraer Baptist Church, by the shores of Loch Ryan on Scotland’s southwest coast. I live here in the driving rain with my wife, my three kids, and a growing library.

A note on the name
The word tregallion is Scots for a mish-mash, an assortment, a miscellany.

Jonathan Edwards famously recorded his longer but as-yet-undeveloped thoughts about the Bible, theology, and philosophy in a series of journals he called his Miscellanies.

This is my far more humble, Caledonian-tinged miscellany; a tregallion of thoughts about whatever interests me, which will likely include much on the Bible, theology, and the pastoral calling.
